Our Speedway United Methodist Church Music Ministry exists to provide a musical vehicle to deliver God’s Word so that people can be led through praise and worship to become stronger disciples of Jesus Christ.
The SUMC Chancel Choir sings both traditional and contemporary worship music for our 10:00 am blended services during the months of the school year, September - June. Two annual musical highlights are our Advent and Lenten Cantatas that we present during the Christmas and Easter seasons.
These two special presentations celebrate God’s greatest gift, the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ, and to honor the sacrifice and crucifixion of Jesus on the cross and the resurrection of our Savior for all mankind, illustrating God’s divine love for each one of us.
Rehearsal: Every Wednesday, 6:00-7:00pm
The SUMC Praise Team plays every Sunday morning for our 10:00 services all year long. We can all join in to lift our voices and hearts to God, singing enlightening and heartwarming contemporary Christian songs, or even an old favorite hymn with a new twist.
